Petrillo's Pizza sits on East Valley Boulevard in San Gabriel, blending the casual charm of a family-friendly Italian restaurant with the convenience of a takeout spot and catering service. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a relaxed meal with family or grab a sizable pizza to share at home or a small gathering.

The atmosphere leans toward comfortable and welcoming, fitting for all ages, making it a popular choice for celebrating occasions like birthdays or casual weeknight dinners. Inside, you'll find a straightforward setup that supports both dine-in and takeout—visitors often mention that coming here on busy evenings means parking can be a bit tricky, so planning ahead helps.

The menu reflects classic Italian-American favorites with some standout options. Their large pepperoni and sausage pizza loaded with extra cheese is a reliable choice, particularly praised for a hearty, satisfying share. Petrillo’s Specialty Pizza, whether medium or large, is another crowd-pleaser, noted for fresh toppings and a well-balanced crust. Sandwiches like the Italian Sausage and Peppers or Eggplant Parmigiana also offer a warm, filling alternative to pizza.

People appreciate the speedy and friendly service, especially on busy nights where the kitchen keeps up well with demand. The portion sizes tend to be generous—many guests note that a single large pizza can easily feed a group of six, solidifying its reputation as a good option for families or groups looking to split a meal without fuss.

In addition to pizza, the pasta dishes stand out for their comforting, homestyle quality. Lasagna layered with rich meat sauce, baked ziti, and fresh manicotti crepes bring traditional flavors to the table alongside lighter starters like minestrone soup and fried calamari, the latter often paired with your choice of spicy or regular marinara sauce.

Overall, Petrillo’s is ideal for anyone seeking a familiar, no-frills Italian meal in a setting that feels like a neighborhood staple. It’s best visited early evening during the week or reserving takeout on weekends, especially if you want to avoid the challenge of parking. Whether you’re after a casual family dinner, a small celebration, or a reliable pizza spot to call your own, Petrillo’s delivers a straightforward local experience grounded in solid food and approachable service.

Excellent pizza. We paid about $35 for a large square cut pizza and it fed six people no problem. The put a generous amount of toppings and use high quality meats. Will definitely go back again. Eat it hot!

Instead of stopping by a mainstream pizza joint, Petrillo has been my new spot to satisfy the pizza cravings. I recently ordered a pizza and came to pick it up. The order was ready within 30 minutes. I went on a Friday night around 6 pm and found it hard to find parking. Be prepared to park a little further away and walk. Make sure to head into the pizza side versus the dine in restaurant. The pick up was straightforward and easy. In terms of the order, I got a personal sized pizza. I wasn’t super hungry, so I felt this was a nice portion. I decided to get a 4 topping pizza and selected Italian sausage, pineapple, black olives, and mushrooms. Overall, it was a good pizza, but I probably not get the mushroom topping again.

We commemorated a birthday at this establishment. They proved to be very accommodating and provided excellent service. The lasagna, salad, and pizza were great. Next time, I would like to try their calamari and pasta. Very family-friendly atmosphere.
